February 22, 2017:
Tom Hiddleston attended the Gucci F/W 2017 fashion show at the Gucci Hub in Milan, Italy. Gucci is one of the few fashion brands who debuts their new runway looks for men and women in the same show. In September 2016, Tom was announced as the new face of Gucci's Tailoring campaign. They worked closely together for nearly two year but this is the only Gucci-specific event that Tom attended during that time.
Tom sat front row surrounded by some very important ladies: Charlotte Casiraghi, Alexa Chung, and Salma Hayek. Charlotte is a member of the Monegasque Royal Family. Alexa is a fashion designer, model, and Gucci muse. Salma is an actress and married to Francois-Henri Pinault (CEO of Kering which owns Gucci).
You can see all 120 runway looks here or watch the video below.
Tom I-Only-Wear-Blue-And-Am-Allergic-To-Colors-And-Patterns Hiddleston teased that he might try to experiment with some of the runway looks he saw.
"There were a couple of beautiful things, there was a brown suit I particularly liked, and brown is very in this season I think, isn't it?"
He never did steal any straight from the runway looks but Tom did wear his brown suit from the GQ Photoshoot several times during the Kong: Skull Island promotional tour.
Gucci selected a unique location for their after party. The party was held at the Educandato Statale Settie Carraro, an all girls boarding school in Milan.
Tom Hiddleston previously attended Milan Fashion Week in 2012 in support of another iconic Italian brand, Armani.
Tom wore a Gucci pinstripe New Marseille three-piece suit for the runway show and changed into a more casual look for the after party
- Gucci Bomber jacket, $3,750.
- Gucci Bees Intarsia Jumper, $750.
- Gucci Stonewashed Denim pants,
- Gucci Ace Low-Tops, $580.
Tom donated a very similar pair of Gucci shoes to XUPESXWAHF in 2018.
