This Is What A Feminist Looks Like (2014)


October 30, 2014: 

Elle UK Magazine released a photo series for their December #ElleFeminism edition. The issue was dedicated empowering and empowered women (and men). The photo series featured a number of celebrities and politicians wearing shirts that said  This is what a feminist looks like to highlight the issue of gender equality.

It's amazing to see how many men participated! Tom Hiddleston has always been very vocal about supporting women: whether it's his family members, his co-stars, or global movements.

Fashion: 

The This is what a feminist looks like shirt seen is the photo series was sold to raise money for the Fawcett Society, Britain's largest women's advocacy group. The Fawcett Society campaigns for women's rights and gender equality. The shirts were originally sold by fashion retailer, Whistles, but was quickly removed due to unethical manufacturing practices.  You can still purchase items directly from the Fawcett Society with the This is what a feminist looks like slogan with profits supporting the charity.
