Much Ado About Nothing Screening in London (2013)

June 11, 2013:

Tom Hiddleston supported his The Avengers director, Joss Whedon, at the screening of his film Much Ado About Nothing. The event was held at the Apollo Piccadilly cinema in London.

In an interesting case of foreshadowing, Tom Hiddleston is asked about how he would approach playing Hamlet on the red carpet (Tom went on the star as Hamlet 4 years later): It seems to me that it's an amazingly open role, and the actor is asked to think about fathers and mothers and revenge and friendship and sex and mortality and philosophy and all of those things. Also, the way he talks about Shakespeare and imagery why isn't Tom out there directing yet?!?

Much Ado About Nothing is a modern-day retelling of Shakespeare's classic play starring Amy Acker, Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, and Alexis Denisof.

In 2016, Tom Hiddleston recommended a different version of Much Ado About Nothing for Tribeca Shortlist and credited it for his love of Shakespeare. Coincidentally, this film was also directed (and starring) another one of his Marvel directors, Kenneth Branagh - who then went on the direct Tom in Hamlet!

Fashion:

Tom Hiddleston wore a custom Emporio Armani Fall 2013 blazer and trousers.
